There are multiple types of COVID-19 vaccines—including mRNA and Protein Subunit vaccines—and all COVID-19 vaccines in the United States have been researched and approved by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends certain COVID-19 vaccines for particular age groups and individuals with chronic medical conditions.
