Late Season Widespread Flu Activity On the Rise

It may be late in the 2015-2016 flu season, but according to an article from the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, "most barometers of influenza circulation in the United States ticked upward again last week, with 37 states reporting geographically widespread activity...that number was up from 33 states a week earlier."
Another indicator that the flu is still a clear and present danger are the deaths of two children, bringing the season's total to 20 pediatric fatalities as a result of flu-related complications.
With widespread activity being reported nationwide, it's not too late to protect your patients against the influenza virus.
The Weekly Influenza Surveillance Report shows flu activity intensifying, with several states being designated as either widespread or regional activity.
